CD Sunday - Alphabets - M

Good morning fellow cd users and welcome to our usual Sunday morning meeting. We have had a busy week and really loved all the cards you made for us to look at, seems Glenda's choice of inspired by peacocks was indeed inspired as you all came up trumps, and heaven help our Wendy when she has to choose her top three.

Last week we were sponsored by Glenda of Chocolate Baroque and the prize is so worth having, three cd's are up for grabs and our lucky winner as selected by random.org is number 13

Yes Meg that is you

In the top three last week and winning our sponsor prize this week, hope you've done the lottery! Drop us an email with your address and we'll make sure that your prize is put in the post to you.

Now onto this weeks challenge, we occasionally use the alphabet and randomly choose a letter and this week it is the letter M. At first I didn't have a clue what to do and then started to see the things my team mates had done and had to cross several ideas off my list but thinking about it there are loads of things that start with the letter M so I do hope you won't struggle.

We start as usual with our guest and Hazel has done us a lovely card so here we go and I do hope you'll like what we've done.

Hazel
Victorian Romance - Joanna Sheen
Wendy M

Fashion Boutique - Joanna Sheen
Chrisitne
A walk on the Wild Side - Cupcake Crafting
Jenny
Enchanted Dreams - Joanna Sheen
Tess
Carnival of Colour - Ooh La La
Carol
Carol Ann's Studio - 'Glitz and Bitz'
Wendy P
Flower Fairies - Marigold and Sweetpea by Crafters Companion

That's us done and I do hope we have inspired you to get out your cd's and join us again this week. Wendy P will be choosing her top three so come back on Tuesday to see who has won the other cd.

Email Entry
We've had an email entry from Mary Dow again this week, isn't this great.

See below for this weeks challenge.
Hello everyone and welcome to another Sunday here at CD Sunday, we have got yet another busy week for you so without any ado we'll get on with the show!

Last week we said goodbye to Debs, sob, sob, but there is a bit of silver to the cloud as we have someone else who is happily stepping into her shoes and helping us out for the coming month.  Our newest guest is Hazel from Hazel's Happy House and you just wait to see what she has done for us this week, then you'll know why we wanted her to join us as our very special guest. As with all of our guests we have asked Hazel to share a little something about herself so you can get to know her a little better, so this is what she has to say;

I have crafted all my life. My mother involved us in making things for the home, clippy mats, chair covers, tea tray cloths and embroidered cushion covers amongst lots of other things and I loved it.
I have two sisters and one of them did embroidery and crochet but the other would rather bury her head in a book, no crafts for her thank you very much!
My crafting continued throughout my married life with knitting, sewing, wooden toy making, rag dolls, dolls clothes, you name it and I’ve probably made it.
About ten years ago a young friend came to stay and she was ‘bored’ so I showed her how to make some cards, I used to make them on odd occasions when I was young but hadn’t carried on with them. I had so much fun showing her how to do certain techniques that I continued making them and stocked up on the all important ‘stash’.
I retired over six years ago and my card making has now taken priority over other crafts, mainly because it’s more relaxing. I sit in my craft room with Radio 2 on and happily make cards for any occasion.

Ok now we are onto the most exciting bit of this weeks challenge as we are being sponsored by the very talented and generous Glenda from Chocolate Baroque, the team have been bursting to tell you and to be honest I don't know how we managed not to shout about it from the moment we knew.  Glenda has very kindly given each of the team a copy of her Peacock Summer Party to use and even better the prize is one I'm sure you will all want, three cd's! Your prize for this week is a copy of Decadent Brocade, Season's Greetings and Peacock Summer Party, now tell me we don't spoil you on occasion!

Just for a bit extra if you need anything else, the first of the top three winners will get a copy of the Peacocks Summer Party too so lots up for grabs this week.

Right here we go with the teams ideas for you and we have something a little different from Carol this week, I'm sure you'll love it.

Hazel
Wendy P

Wendy M

Christine

Jenny

Tess

Carol

OK now it's your turn, you can make anything you like but you must use a cd and with such beautiful colours on a peacock you have a huge scope. Please leave a comment after linking and we'll come and visit you.
