CD Sunday Special - Birthday Celebrations

Welcome to our 6th Birthday Celebrations here at CD Sunday.  For this time only we are going to ask you to back link – YES - we did say BACK LINK. Tommorow (18th April) is our actual Birthday and here is the back link to that day.

We are asking you to choose your own favourite of all those cards/projects that you have ever entered into a CD Sunday Challenge  - re post it to now  with a  back link  so we  will then be able to see for which challenge it was originally submitted.
So – as promised – this will be your easiest challenge ever because you don’t have to make anything – except your mind up about your own favourite -   post it and tell us a little bit about why it is your favourite.  The team have done the same and I must admit I hummed and hawed quite a bit about choosing my own favourite .
The team as a whole will choose the winners and here are the prizes on offer - in no particular order:

Before we get to the Design Team's choices we want to say a big thank you to all who entered Sue's 'Get Well Wishes' challenge.  Sue will be back in due course with her Top 3.

Here are the team’s choices of their own favourite designs:
Ooh La La - Carnival of Colour.       5th April 2015

CD Debbie Moore Shabby Chic Collection.      2.11.2014

 Polkadoodle's CD Pretty Tuff.          18th May 2014

Cd from Peerless Designs ,Woodland Fantasy.   21/7/2013

Now we don’t want to restrict this Challenge just to only those who have entered before as we would love to gather yet more new friends so we have a special category for newcomers.  Just enter a card or project from your own archives (with back link) that you have made but it must include something from a CD and the CD credited.  The team will choose a favourite from these and award a prize.

The rest of our rules still apply - A CD must have been used somewhere in the making of the card/project.  The CD must be credited.  Back linking is only allowed for this challenge and please make sure you link it directly to the card/project you are entering – otherwise we will have no idea where to look and your entry will not be considered.

Top 3 announcements that would normally be  done today will be done either later on or included in our next challenge posting.
The team are looking forward to seeing what you have chosen and why - and we thank you in advance for taking part in our Birthday Celebration.

CD Sunday - 'Get Well Wishes ' - chosen by Sue

Good Morning. There is a lot to tell you this week so please bear with me and I will be as concise as I can.
Firstly thank you all for the wonderful entries into ‘All Creatures Great and Small’.  We are really thrilled to see so many of you - friends old and new.   Whilst Jocelyn is tossing and turning over her Top 3 here is Wynn’s Top 3 for her ‘Colour Challenge’.

Wow!!! We had some really colourful entries and lots of very different creations. Thank you to everyone who entered. This was truly a difficult decision but it's been made. So here goes.....the winner is...........

1.      Margaret
The colours are perfect for the challenge. The colourful knitting just did it for me and the ribbon matched the background beautifully.

2.     Pauline
A really beautiful card with lots of vibrant colours. The lanterns are so pretty.

3.     Lynn
Not a card this time but  something a bit different. A very colourful Easter basket full of brightly coloured eggs.
Well done Margaret.   Please don’t forget to let us have your details using the email address in the sidebar.  And Margaret, Pauline and Lynn - please all take the appropriate banner from the sidebar.

Secondly before this current challenge a little more about our forthcoming Birthday Celebration Challenge.  It will be next time – April 17th. (CD Sunday  was actually started on 18th April 2010).  We have gathered a plethora of prizes to give away and we will post photos together with all the details next time.  Just to repeat myself I will say that it will be the easiest of all of our challenges that you will have entered.

And now thirdly - as promised - our challenge chosen by  Sue – ‘Get Well Wishes’  - and here are the ideas from the team:

CD Sticks & Bones from Polka Doodle

Clip Art CD by Patsy May

Image and background Ooh La La  'Carnival of Colour'.
Sentiment  ' A Winter Walk in the Countryside' by Cupcake Crafting

Joanna Sheen House Mouse Volume One

We hope that you will join in with us, have fun, and don’t forget there is a prize to be won.  Please link to your post and not to your Blog.    Please, don’t forget to use something from a CD somewhere, however small, in the making of your card or project and give the CD credit. Entries that do not include the use of a CD, although welcome to see, will not be considered for the prize on offer and the team will not visit to comment.
We will be back in a couple of weeks with our Birthday Celebration Challenge and although Jocelyn will have chosen her Top three for ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ by then we are going to delay announcing who they are for a wee while. We don't want the Birthday Celebration to take away from the winners.

CD Sunday - 'All Creatures Great and Small' - chosen by Jocelyn

Before we reveal my Top 3 winners for the 'Thank You' challenge a big thank you to all who entered Wynn’s 'Colour Challenge'.  I think the team have been blown away by the wonderful use of the colours and theme – I know I was.  Wynn is going to find it hard to choose just 3.

Here then is my Top 3 for ‘Thank You’

It was genuinely difficult to decide the Top 3 but I have done so and here it is:

1.      Melanie
P1030019
This is simple and dramatic and really has the' ooh and aww' factor.
2.     Lynn
I love the colours, clean lines and he is so cute.

3.     KandA
A lovely image beautifully made and is a great one to have ready.
Well done Melanie.  Please don’t forget to let us have your details using the email address in the sidebar.  And all the Top 3, please  don't forget to take the appropriate banner -  also in the sidebar.

I gave you a quick tease last time about our forthcoming Birthday Celebration.  There isn’t much more I can tell you at the moment except that we are still gathering prizes and it really will be the easiest challenge you have ever entered.  Just a few more weeks to go.

Here is our new challenge for the next two weeks – from Jocelyn – ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ and here are the ideas from the team:
Main Image - Times Gone By - Joanna Sheen
Backing papers - Printable Gingham - Robert Addams

Polka doodles Lilybuglove collection
La Pashe - The Pet Set

CD 'Feej meets Westie' by Fjdesigns

We hope that you will join in with us, have fun, and don’t forget there is a prize to be won.  Please link to your post and not to your Blog.    Please, please  don’t forget to use something in the making of your card or project, however small, from a CD in your possession or from a CD loaded Graphics programme,  and give the CD credit. Entries that do not include the use of a CD, although welcome to see, will not be considered for the prize on offer and the team will not visit to comment.
We will be back in a couple of weeks with another new challenge and Wynn will have chosen her Top three for ‘Colour Challenge’.
